Jessica Carpenter is responsible for leading the strategic and tactical operations of Commonwealth Medicine’s (CWM) Health & Equity, Operations & Performance Excellence, and Clinical Delivery & Workforce Development offerings. Collaborating with other senior leaders and key business partners, she leverages best practices, internal expertise, and emerging technologies to develop new clinical performance improvement, survey research, workforce development products and services in response to market demand.

Carpenter previously served as Deputy Managing Director, Clinical Delivery and Informatics Solutions, as well as in clinical program leadership and management roles at Commonwealth Medicine, with a focus on Medicaid long-term services and supports.

Prior to joining the Medical School in 2006, Carpenter served in roles ranging from clinical and research dietitian to practice manager for a large multispecialty medical group outpatient practice. She held positions at Fallon Clinic, Rippe Lifestyle Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, and New England (Tufts) Medical Center. Her many publications and abstracts feature subjects from health and nutrition to coordination of LTSS for medically complex children.

Carpenter is a Massachusetts-licensed dietitian and a registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition from Syracuse University and Tufts University, respectively.
