Joyce A. Murphy named vice chair of Harvard Pilgrim Board of Directors

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care has named Joyce A. Murphy, MPA, executive vice chancellor of UMass Medical School’s Commonwealth Medicine division, vice chair of its Board of Directors. Murphy will serve alongside Chairperson Mary Ann Tocio, president and chief operating officer of Bright Horizons Family Solutions.

“I look forward to serving as vice chair of the Board and partnering with Mary Ann Tocio in this effort as we lead Harvard Pilgrim into the future,” said Murphy, who also serves on the boards of Curry College, UHealthSolutions and the Kenneth B. Schwartz Leadership Council.

“Mary Ann and Joyce have been trailblazers in their own careers, and valued members of the Harvard Pilgrim board,” said Eric H.
